Natural Paints & Finishes
Interiors can be finished with a clay paint called Alis Finish. Alis can be applied with various tools to achieve different finish textures. Alis Finish has a range of colors, with additives such as mica or chopped straw for decorative effects. Alis can be sealed with wax, linseed oil, a casein wash or silicate wash. Linseed oil was traditionally the most commonly used carrier in oil paint. Linseed oil works naturally with a wood surface because it can breath; therefore the wood does not decay or rot under the paint. Repainting is easy as linseed oil paint can always be applied on top of previous coats of linseed oil paint without difficult and expensive paint removal.
